Pillsbury House Theatre’s mission is to co-create enduring change towards a just society through arts. Through the Mainstage season and other community engagement programs, Pillsbury House Theatre (PHT) illuminates the differences that make each person unique and the similarities that bring people together, within an artistic environment that promotes understanding and leads to positive action.
The Documenters Network was created in 2018 by City Bureau, a nonprofit civic journalism lab that goes beyond informing the public. They focus on equipping people to access and produce the information they need.
Documenters.org centralizes public meeting dates, times, locations, official records and original documentation at the city, county, and state-level in one searchable location.
Twin Cities Skater Studio, founded in 2024, is a community-driven space that’s designed by skaters for skaters. Our experienced instructors offer a variety of classes and workshops, all focused on building core strength, balance, and stability through our signature Sk8rSculpt training method. Whether you’re a figure skater, hockey player, derby player, or jam skate dancer, we’re committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for skaters of all disciplines to learn, grow, and connect. Members save on classes, sessions, workshops, and one-on-one training.
We’re an official Minneapolis neighborhood organization for the Whittier neighborhood. That means our job is to make Whittier a neighborhood that represents its residents. What do you want Whittier to look like? What kind of events do you want to see in the neighborhood? We’re here to make that happen.
Arbeiter Brewing Company is a multicultural owned brewery and taproom in South Minneapolis that cultivates a welcoming and safe environment for our diverse community and craft beer enthusiasts. We produce approachable beers in a wide range of styles and specialize in craft lagers. Our flagship German Pilsner and Korean Rice Lager have both won gold medals and placed best in show.
Established in 2014. The sisterhood Boutique was developed by East African women between the ages of 14 and 23 who reside in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, and participate in the Brian Coyle Center Youth Entrepreneurship Program. More than a year ago, program participants decided they wanted to build something positive for other girls and women in the neighborhood, and the Sisterhood Boutique was born. Young women involved with the program are learning a variety of personal and professional skills from business development to event planning, while the colorful variety of clothing and accessories available at the shop provide affordable clothing options for residents of the neighborhood. The Soul of the Southside ignites the spirit of Juneteenth and Black Liberation by centering
the richness of Black culture. Through a powerful fusion of history, art, music, food, and
education, our festival is a transformative platform that unites, empowers, and inspires.
We honor the brilliance of Black creatives, businesses, and community organizations,
showcasing the profound contributions of Black Americans. By using creativity as a force
for liberation, we build connections, foster learning, and leave a legacy of cultural pride
and unity for generations to come.
