El Proyecto Southside Media

El proyecto Southside Media es una coalición de vecinos y organizaciones sin fines de lucro que se han unido para lanzar una nueva estación radial que sirva a la comunidad del Sur de Minneapolis. 98.9 KSRM es parte de la iniciativa de Medios de Comunicación Comunitarios de Pillsbury United Communities, la cual apunta a brindar una plataforma para que se escuchen las historias que son importantes para la comunidad. La estación del dial 98.9 está ubicada en el Centro Comunitario Waite House y se convertirá en un instrumento para compartir noticias, música e historias,  para debatir, y para dar anuncios de salud y seguridad pública a esta área de nuestra ciudad tan densamente poblada y de etnias tan diversas.

Pero no solamente nos interesa la difusión de programas a la comunidad sino que también queremos invitarte a participar. Contamos con equipo que se puede dar en préstamo, más de 10 clases gratis de capacitación en medios de comunicación y 3 laboratorios de computación equipados con programas para editar audio. Te brindaremos todo lo necesario para que puedas compartir tus historia, cultura y perspectivas con tu propia voz.

Trabajando en conjunto con el Instituto de Desarrollo Comunitario de Nativos Americanos, la Comunidad Hope y Voces para la Justicia Racial, y con una base de voluntarios de casi 200 vecinos, esperamos estar en el aire para junio de 2016. Mientras tanto, puedes disfrutar nuestros originales programas por medio de streaming o también se pueden bajar.
